New Feature Lets Musicians, Students and Rock Stars Record and Share Video of Their Performances
LOS ANGELES, CA, February 4th, 2013 — Jammit®, the leading music platform for jamming with original multi-track master recordings, announces new features that enable users to video capture their individual performances of songs from top artists, such as Boston, Rush, and Grateful Dead, and upload them directly to YouTube and Facebook to share with the world. This free update is available to all Jammit users for iPhone, iPad, iPod touch, Mac, and Windows platforms.
Jammit’s platform allows musicians of all skill levels to isolate an instrument from the original master recording in order to learn individual parts for guitar, drum, bass, keyboards, or vocals and play along with their favorite bands. Tommy DeCarlo, lead singer of the iconic band, Boston, comments, “Jammit proved to be an essential tool when I was rehearsing for the Boston 2012 summer tour.”
Jammit also unveils two new features to improve and enhance the user experience, including a proprietary guitar tuner integrated into the software that automatically calibrates to the specific tuning each isolated track requires. Unlike other hardware and software tuners, Jammit’s advanced detection technology eliminates the “jumpy needle effect” (caused by pitch overtones) making tuning faster and easier. In addition, the music platform now includes a selectable input pad for idevice users who record loudly, such as drummers.
Created by renowned, multi-platinum music producer Scott Humphrey (Motley Crüe, Rob Zombie, Ozzy Osbourne), Jammit is the definitive music platform that combines original isolated tracks with scrolling notation. This not only allows users to improve their playing, but also experience music from the perspective of those who originally created it. Find out more at www.jammit.com
Founded in 2009 by world-renowned producer Scott Humphrey, Jammit® (jammit.com) is the first music software that isolates individual audio tracks from the original multi-track master recordings and synchronizes each track with complete precision. Musicians can now play or sing their favorite song exactly the way the artist did, with the only 100% accurate transcription. A vast song library ranging from classic to contemporary includes songs from top artists like Toto, Boston, Deep Purple, Motley Crue, Nickelback, Norah Jones and many, many more. Jammit users can isolate, loop, and vary the speed of individual instruments and vocals within the dense mix of a song without affecting the pitch. Jammit is available as an app for iOS or Android, or as software for Mac or PC. Users can utilize their Jammit song files on multiple platforms for the price of a single download.
